Who are We?

Who are We?

We are a group of like minded people who share a lack of belief in anything that lacks substantial, empirical or logical evidence.

What do we Do?

What do we Do?

We provide opportunities for members to socialise, learn and come to an understanding regarding their personal belief systems.

Why do we do this?

Why do we do this?

Too long has organised religion, superstition and pure fantasy held the monopoly on what is the best way for human kind to exist as a society. It is time for people with a rational mindset to stand up and be counted.

Welcome To Adelaide Atheists' new website

Welcome. Adelaide Atheists has been growing stronger and stronger in membership and participation. So much so that we're starting to outgrow the facilities that meetup can supply. It is with the future of the group in mind that this website has been created.

It can provide us with extensive scheduling services with the ability to RSVP to events via the Calendar. We can share our opinions and ideas with each other though the forum. For those that prefer the mailing list that is currently being used, withing the next few weeks a new mailing list will be created that will be fully integrated with this sites forums. Giving you the option of participating via email or the website directly!

Location:
The Astor corner Pultney Street Giles Street

The monthly social meetups are a great way to meet fellow atheists and be a part of the greater atheist community in South Australia.

Each month we gather at The Astor for a meal, a few drinks, and a chat about anything and everything. Whether you've been an atheist for your entire life, or have only recently walked away from religion, you're welcome to come along and hang out for a few hours amidst a friendly atmosphere.

Activist: Atheist Meetup

Date:
Mon, 18/01/2010 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm

A new year dawns, and the battle continues to rage: to let superstition guide us, or to educate and propagate rational thinking.

2010 is the year that the Adelaide Atheists will make their mark on the South Australian cultural scene, and we want you to be a part of it.

Many of you are already planning on attending the Global Atheist Convention in March, but there is more that you can do to show support for atheists, freethinkers, skeptics, and everyday people who want a world free of religiously motivated violence and political decision-making.
